Unlike other Himalayan countries, Bhutan still retains much of its forest substantially intact. The country’s forests are rich, diverse and beautiful, forming some of the remaining representative of the forest habitats in the Himalayan. Forest and bushes supports the high proportion of 84% of the country’s breading birds. In addition 57% of Bhutan’s globally threatened birds and 90% of the country’s restricted-range birds are dependent on forests.

Day 2: after early breakfast drive to Chele La pass to spot Blood Pheasents, Himalayan Monal and Kalij Pheasents. After lunch drive back to Capital city Thimphu. You may come across Water red-start, Green backed Tits, and Yellow breasted Greenfinch

Overnight at Dochula.

Day 3: Drive down till Botanic garden to do birding which has great collection of rhododendrons, orchids and it’s covered by high altitude dwarf Bamboos which is good place for birding. Drive back for breakfast and have little break. Continue drive towards punakha. En .Route visit temple dedicated to Divine Mad Man, its 25 minutes hike along the small settlement of Pana through paddy fields. Drive to massive structure between two Giant Rivers. Punakha has been Capital of Bhutan for more than 300 years and our first king was crowned here in year 1907.

Overnight at Punakha.

Day 4 & 5: Drive early morning north, diverting towards unpaved road which is protected area of Jigme Dorji Wangchuk national park. Take your light breakfast and hot packed lunch to the birding area. Do birding along the rain forest of Punakha and scan for as much Birds specie as you can as the valley is in rich with different spices .Evening, drive back to Punakha.

Overnight Punakha.

Day 6: Drive east of wangdi Phodrang doing birding till Nubding .It’s best place of hunting during third king’s time, and good place of birding along the road side.

Lunch at Nubding.

Drive back doing brief scan around the forest edge of road side till Kitchu Resort.

Halt at Wangdi.

Day 7: Today we will drive back to Thimphu and do sightseeing rest of the day, which includes visiting: Memorial stupa, Giant Buddha, CFM, and scroll around Thimphu town. If time permits watch our national game Archery.

Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 8: Drive to Paro till Ramthangka and do hike of 5 hrs round trip to Taksang, means Tiger’s Nest. It is located on sheer cliff which is about 800 Mts from the base and visited by second Buddha, Guru Rimpoche during mid-8th century to subdue local demon Singay Samdrup. He also meditated in cave for 3 months where present monastery is situated. Quarrelsome sported Nut Crackers are common with families of Tits. Drive back to hotel for hot stone bath, complementary from company.

Halt in Hotel.

Day 9; Our guide and driver will drop you at airport to catch flight for your next destination.
