Paro Festival. 6 nights 7 Days.

Nestled in the Eastern region of the Himalayan, Bhutan the land of peaceful Thunder Dragon is bordered by China-Tibet and India. As purely Buddhist country, it has rich unique cultural & tradition way of life still remains pristine. The Tsechu is a religious festival in honor of Padmasambhava , “ Patron saint of Bhutan, popularly known as Guru Rimpoche”, precious teacher. Festival in Paro was first instituted by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, Tibetan saint who came from Tibet in year 1616 A D. He became theoretic ruler of Bhutan and built Paro Dzong in year 1647 and held hereafter festival inside the Dzong and latter in 1907 the programs of the festival from second day was shifted to Deyangkha ground, outside of Fortress by Governor of Paro,” Dawa Penjor”.

After lunch visit: Buddha point, Memorial stupa, Textile Museum, CFM and 13th arts and craft school.

Halt in Thimphu.

Day 2: After breakfast drive about 2 Hrs. to Punakha. On the way stop at pass where you will see 108 stupas on Dochula pass which is 3100 Mts. above sea level. On clear day there will be beautiful views of Jigme Singay Wangchuck national park, mountain ranges covered by snow. Descend through the mixed forest of draft bamboos, ferns, firs, rhododendrons and magnolia etc…

Lunch at Lobesa.

Now we will hike around 25 minutes through village of Phana and Yhu wa to visit temple dedicated to Divine Mad Man known as Chimi Lhakhang. Getting blessed by bone and wooden phallus drive towards Punakha and visit huge Dzong of Punakha located between two Rivers.

Halt in Punakha.

Day 3: drive back to Paro and one the way stop at Chuzom. Its confluence where rivers and roads join’s together. Evening leisure time around town and way back to hotel, visit old temple Kitch Lhakhang built by Tibetan King during 7th century.

Day 5: Today you have to bring sun gears as dance will be performed outside the Dzong. Drive till traditional bridge and walk to the festival spot. Find best place to take a photo of beautiful colors worn by Bhutanese people.Lunch in town. Continue attending festival……Before going back to hotel, walk around town to see busy people in search of their own need and different sounds of Bhutanese movies screening around the town in paddy fields as there is no enough theater in Paro.

Day 6: after breakfast drive to; festival or do hiking for about 4 hrs. To Tiger nest, optional:

Day 7: after early breakfast drive to airport and our representative will farewell you at entry point.
