Punakha Festival. 7 nights 8 days.

Day 1: On arrival at paro airport met our Guide and driver at exit point. Drive against paro river and check in to the hotel. After lunch visit Paro Dzong ,Museum and Kitch Lhakhang.Evening Scroll around town.

Day 2: After early breakfast drive towards Thimphu which is about 1 hr. drive and do sightseeing, which includes; Textile museum, 13 arts and crafts school, Giant Buddha, nunnery and Memorial Stupa built in 1972 and completed in 1974 by queen mother. Evening, scroll around town.

Day 3: after early breakfast drive towards Gangtey where Ningma Monastery is located on hillside, Overlooking Phobjikha valley. Make visit to monastery headed by Gangtey Tulku and monastery also have monks who learns arts and crafts of Bhutan.

Day 4: Drive till the Khewa Lhakhang and do hiking on open space and through pine trees along roosting place of Black Necked Crane during winter till monastery and drive back to Punakha to make visit to temple dedicated to Drukpa Kinley known as chime Lhakhang

Day 5: Today we will attend full day witnessing festival inside the dzong so be dressed in educated manner. We will see different mask dance with different religious meaning in it. We will be entertained by clacks and dancer dancing our traditional songs.

Day 6: We will continue attending festival and take great collection of photo as it is a day when people wait’s to show their wealth by wearing expensive cloths made from silks and other materials. Each day has a different mask dance and dance programs so don’t miss it!!!

Day 7: Today attend festival till lunch and drive back to Paro. On the way stop at Tamchu temple built in 15th century by Tongthong Gyelpo to have little stretch…..drive to farm house for complementary hot stone bath from company side.
