Upon arrival to airport met our representative and continue 1 hrs drive to Bhutan’s Capital, Thimphu. You’ll drive along scenic roads passing white washed traditional Bhutanese houses, yellow roofed temples and forested hillside. En route make visit to Tachogang Temple built in 15th century owned by private owner. Being on private tour everything will be intimate experience with high level of services.

Lunch in town.

Evening visit memorial stupa built in year 1974 by Royal Queen Mother and scroll around capital city home for more than 100 thousand people, and if time permit watch our traditional game Archery.

Day 2: Thimphu sightseeing.

After early breakfast drive north of town for hike to the 17th century cheri monastery. It served as a school for higher learner for graduate monks and they practice inner meditation. Return walk will be along the ancient trial taken by Zhabdrung on his way to Thimphu. Traveling through the country side, you will enjoy Bhutanese village and spectacular scenery. The route is dotted with Bhutanese- Tibetan settlements and paddy fields. Highlight for the hike is to visit the school of thirteen arts and crafts of Bhutanese traditional owned by private owner.

Picnic lunch near river.

After the lunch while hiking you will encounter ancient ruins before you reach to road. Our hike ends at lama Lhakhang and Zhabdrung Lhakhang both built in 17th century by Zhabdrung himself. Drive to town and visit Giant Buddha, Textile museum and CFM.

Day 3: Thimphu- Punakha.

Today you will travel across Dochula pass [3140 Mts.] to Punakha. Crossing the pass there are great northern views of Bhutan’s eastern Himalayan ranges. Driving through swarm of prayer flags fluttering in the wind, magnificent pine, magnolia and rhododendron mixed with draft bamboos, journey descends through the sub-Topical valley of Punakha.

Lunch in Café.

After lunch hike through the paddy fields and small settlement of Pana to visit temple dedicated to Divine Mad man commonly known as temple of fertility but its actual name is Chime Lhakhang. Punakha’s importance lies largely during the olden days when it was capital of Bhutan. Elaborate arts within and the Dzong’s sheer size gives hint to Punakha’s former days of glory.

Day 4: Punakha- Phobjikha.

Your drive will ascends in warm weather from Tiki Zampa till Lawala pass between Phobjikha and Wangdi Phodrang. You might come across yaks grassing on the hill of pasture but be aware yaks are quite aggressive as they are always isolated. While descending from pass [3420 Mts.] you will see some small hut in the mid of open ground and normally it’s used by local people as a pasture. Main source of income for them is potato’s and Diary products.

After lunch drive back to old Gangtey monastery founded by Gangtey Tulku. Do hiking through pine trees along the roosting place of Black necked Cran and exit near Khewa Lhakhang.

Day 5: Phobjikha- Paro.

early breakfast and drive to paro. Stop at Chuzom for photo. It’s confluence where the Thimphu and Paro Rivers joins. Continue driving to Paro town and scroll around. Drive for dinner in Farm house

Day 6: Paro sightseeing.

Paro is located in a flat valley awash with rice fields that lie above a narrow Gorge. This fertile valley was the seat of power in western Bhutan during 19th century.

Visit Ta Dzong watch tower during olden days and now its museum, it has beautiful collection of Thanka’s, mask and a great assortment of artifacts from around the country. Way back visit Rimpung Dzong built in 1646, On the top of mediation cave by Zhabdrung. Drive north of town to witness ruins of Drugyel Dzong built after victory over Tibetan invasion.

Drive back to town for last minutes shopping and hot stone bath at hotel, complementary from company side for last day hike!

Early morning drive to catch you flight boarding to next destination.
