About Nimalung Tshechu
Nimalung Festival is performed in Nimalung Lhakhang which is located in Chumey in Bumthang. The Tshechu is held once year in the 5th month of the Bhutanese calendar. Thongdrol of Guru Rimpoche is put on display for the attendees which is 9 meters wide and in addition to inspiring wonder is said to cleanse the sins of all those who look upon it. During Tshechu, a series of colorful and spectacular mask dances are performed.
